FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I know where to start in the Sax School?
Finding your starting point in the Sax School is super easy! Once you enroll in the Sax School you will receive an email giving you simple directions to follow to find the perfect starting point for you.
Are the Sax School lessons done on both alto & tenor sax?
Yes! All of the lessons, play alongs & demonstrations are done on both alto and tenor sax. Often times in separate videos (one for alto sax & one for tenor sax). All of the PDFs are in the correct key for each instrument.
Who is a good fit for the Sax School?
The Scott Paddock Sax School is specifically designed for beginner through early advanced adult saxophone players who are looking for a saxophone course that is set up exactly like private lessons.
Do I need to already know how to play the sax to join the Sax School?
No! In the Sax School you can start from scratch. The very first lesson in the Beginner Pathway shows you how to get your sax out of the case and put it together, and then we continue on from there! You’ll be playing your first notes on the sax within 20 minutes of starting the course.
Am I too old to start playing the saxophone?
No! Many of our members have recently retired and are looking for a new hobby or are finally making the dream of playing the saxophone a reality. Our youngest members in the Sax School are in their 20s and our oldest members are in their 80s. And we have a good mix of every age in between. You’re never too old to start playing the sax!
What's the difference between the Scott Paddock Sax School and other online courses?
There are 2 main differences. The first is that my Sax School is set up exactly like saxophones lessons and everything flows seamlessly from one Pathway Course to the next. It is the most comprehensive, fastest, and easiest way to learn and progress as a sax student. The second is in the way that I present the material. Using a step by step approach to teaching the sax makes the lessons really easy to follow, and you will hear constant improvement in your sax playing as you work through each lesson.
Can I cancel whenever I want?
Yes! You can cancel at any time, and the recurring membership payment will stop at the end of your current billing cycle.
